Meet Alexandra

I know this road.
I’ve walked it too.

My story

The support no one told me existed.

I became an infertility doula because I know what it feels like to sit in a waiting room full of people all going through something no one talks about. The appointments. The injections. The hope and the grief that live inside the same week.

Your clinic is focused on the clinical outcome — and they should be. But that leaves a gap. Who answers the 2am question? Who holds the space when the results come back and you don’t know how to feel? Who explains what the doctor said in a way that actually makes sense?

That’s what I do. I’m the person in your corner who has time for the whole story.

The Infertility Doula, Alexandra Hamrick, is a third-generation Endometriosis survivor & infertility warrior. After getting her first period at 9 years old, her symptoms kicked in quickly. Alexandra’s mother and maternal grandmother both had severe Endometriosis and underwent early age hysterectomies as the only treatment. Upon receiving an official diagnosis of Stage 3+ Endometriosis at age 30, she also received an infertility diagnosis.

After 5 years of treatments, Alexandra & her husband, Charles welcomed their baby boy, John Harper Hamrick in August 2023. He was conceived via IVF.

These experiences motivated Alexandra to become an advocate for people suffering from endometriosis and also for people who are seeking to build their dream families with an infertility diagnosis. This, combined with a passion for birth work, led to this path — a Fertility Doula.

How I work

My approach

🤍

You lead, I follow

Every woman’s journey is different. I don’t bring a script. I bring presence, and I follow your lead on what kind of support you need.

📞

Available when it matters

Infertility doesn’t keep office hours. I’m available for the hard moments — the calls after results, the nights before retrieval, the waits.

🌿

No judgment, ever

There is no wrong way to feel about this. You will never be told you’re overreacting, not sick enough, or too negative. This is a safe space.
